Home learning and regulation sessions

Individual support designed around your child
Not every child thrives in a traditional classroom or responds to conventional tutoring.
Some children need time to build trust, regulate their nervous system, develop confidence and learn in ways that make sense to them before academic progress can truly begin.
At NeuroSense Consultancy, I provide personalised one-to-one sessions in your home or local community, designed specifically for neurodivergent children and young people.
Every session is tailored to your child's individual strengths, interests and needs.
Who this is for
These sessions may be suitable for children who:
-
Are autistic or ADHD.
-
Experience sensory processing differences.
-
Are emotionally based school avoidant.
-
Are educated otherwise than at school (EOTAS) or home educated.
-
Are awaiting specialist school placement.
-
Need additional support alongside school.
-
Have anxiety around learning.
-
Have an EHCP or are awaiting assessment.
-
Learn best through movement, practical experiences and their own interests.
Working together
-
I work closely with families and, where appropriate, schools and other professionals to ensure support is joined up and centred around your child's needs.
-
Sessions can complement Occupational Therapy programmes, Educational Psychology recommendations and EHCP outcomes, helping children develop confidence both at home and in education.
What sessions might look like - More than tutoring
These sessions are about far more than completing worksheets or preparing for tests.
Using a neuro-affirming, child-centred approach, I support children to develop the foundations that enable learning, including:
-
Emotional regulation
-
Confidence and self-esteem
-
Executive functioning
-
Attention and engagement
-

-

-
Learning through interests and play
Where appropriate, academic learning is woven naturally into activities that motivate your child.

No two sessions are the same because no two children are the same.
Every child deserves an approach that works for them
Learning looks different for every child.
My aim is to help children feel safe, understood and successful by creating opportunities to learn in ways that celebrate who they are, rather than expecting them to fit into a one-size-fits-all model.
